As a community, we deserve candidates who are accessible, accountable and mindful. Who are willing to work for the benefit of everyone — not for self-aggrandizement. Who will serve our town through action — not rhetoric. Who can govern and debate respectfully — not just campaign loudly. And who can act responsibly and show good judgment — regardless of who is watching.

When Erin decided to run for Select Board I felt like it just made sense. She’s a life long resident of Dedham, so she knows the ins and outs of our lovely town. Erin has the education and experience to help make decisions that will be best for all residents. She is also just a kind person and sometimes it’s really kindness that counts most.

Erin is the leader that we need on our selectboard. We need to vote for the person who will focus on enhancing our community as a whole. Erin is focused on examining our town finances and deciding what changes could benefit most to support individuals, families, and the community.

In addition to her impressive work and background, Erin played a strong role as a communicator to many families and community members when she often posted COVID information that was relevant and desperately needed in a time of uncertainty. I remember looking forward to the information she provided as we all looked for glimmers of hope with COVID cases and our children’s return to school in late 2020.

Leadership at the local level is not glamorous and it can be downright tedious and frustrating. But these candidates are committed to improving and sustaining the lives of those who reside here and for this, we should be thankful.

During this uncertain time, I will cast my vote for Erin Boles Welsh for Dedham Town Selectboard. She has demonstrated the quiet perseverance and commitment to navigate Dedham through good times and bad and her ambitions will carry the town into the future while drawing inspiration and strength from the past.

No doubt that Erin will be an asset to our community and will work hard to maintain and improve our town’s values and interests.

Her focus on improving the safety of Dedham’s residents while increasing Dedham’s walkability is something that benefits all Dedham residents, both young and old. Erin’s experience in Non Profit and as a public policy expert will benefit our town in securing funding for local town projects and supporting community needs.

Dedham has been waiting for someone like Erin to come along. Erin has a mix of government and non-profit experience in her everyday life which will translate well to her Select Board role. Erin has balanced budgets while also obtaining external funding which is very crucial in ensuring that Dedham residents are not affected more in our wallets like we have been the last few years.
