Town Meeting Member, Precinct 6
Please join me in voting for Erin Boles Welsh for Dedham Select Board on Saturday, April 9th. Erin will work tirelessly for us; she is committed, dependable and has a positive attitude. In the current climate, it is of the utmost importance that we elect someone that has an open mind and is able to offer innovative solutions. This person needs to be able to communicate effectively and focus on bringing the people of Dedham together. Erin Boles Welsh is that person.

Erin and I both grew up in Dedham, graduating Dedham High just one year apart, but we didn’t know each other well back then. When we reconnected in recent years, I was trying to figure out why that was. Erin has always been very driven. In high school she was determined to be the best student and athlete she could be. While I was excelling at being an irresponsible teenager, Erin was excelling academically and in athletics. I am so grateful that years later, when our goals were better aligned, we crossed paths again.

Erin and I serve together as Precinct 6 Town Meeting Members. Her enthusiasm for the Town Meeting process is evident. She is naturally collaborative and loves to get input from others. Before the Town Meeting in the fall, she hosted a small, COVID-friendly gathering at her firepit so that we had an opportunity to delve into the warrant articles before voting on them. This proactive gesture shows how Erin will go above and beyond to get people involved, and it shows her commitment to analyzing issues before deciding where she stands. She advocates for fiscally responsible spending and supports transparency in town government. She is always civil and will speak kindly, even if you disagree.

Another thing I really admire about Erin is her follow-through. A few days a week at a dark and uninviting 6:15 am, a handful of Moms exercise together. We all have multiple children, careers, and are caring for other family members. We have hectic lives. It would be easy to justify staying in bed or skipping because of other priorities. Erin is dependable. If she says she is coming, she will be there, even in heavy rain or frigid 20 degree weather. When I began joining these sessions Erin was very supportive and encouraging, which made the experience a little less daunting.

Erin is the type of person you want in charge. She will actively listen, weigh decisions carefully, and lead with enthusiasm. ELECT ERIN, DEDHAM!!!! You will be glad you did!
