Town Meeting Member, Precinct 1
As a community, we deserve candidates who are accessible, accountable and mindful. Who are willing to work for the benefit of everyone — not for self-aggrandizement. Who will serve our town through action — not rhetoric. Who can govern and debate respectfully — not just campaign loudly. And who can act responsibly and show good judgment — regardless of who is watching.
Erin Boles Welsh is that candidate — and we are proud to support her for one of two seats on the Select Board.
Erin believes in the importance of maintaining the “small town feel” she grew up with. It’s one of the reasons she and her husband Tim chose to return here over 10 years ago, to raise their 3 children and care for aging parents.
But Erin also believes that growth and change can serve as opportunities to benefit our whole community — with guidance from strong, respectful, and thoughtful leadership.
Erin Boles Welsh is that leader.
Professionally, Erin has worked at the state and local level for over 20 years. Her experience gathering, analyzing and communicating data to develop and implement policies, and identify and secure external funding, is unique among our current leadership. These critical skills are a much needed addition to our Select Board, to guide better decision making and support sustainable growth.
Over the many years we’ve known Erin, she has shown to be thoughtful and caring in her approach to every issue. Her insistence on hearing all sides of an argument, regardless of her personal opinion, enables her to build a better understanding of the impact and concerns. As a result, she is able to frame issues with clarity, building greater consensus early, and avoiding unnecessary conflict.
Voting on April 9th is your right as a citizen — but getting your vote is a privilege that should be reserved for the best candidate. Erin Boles Welsh is the Select Board candidate we deserve, and the candidate that should earn one of your two votes.
